Aspen Valley Horse Rescue is a Colorado non-profit
501(c)3 (pending application) volunteer organization located in beautiful Basalt, Colorado.

AVHR is in a desperate situation.
We need your help in order to rescue another 28 pregnant mares who are currently located at two former
PMU ranches in northern North Dakota (for more info on PMU horses, go to www.premarin.org ). These mares are still at-risk of slaughter as the ranchers do not have the means to feed them
throught the winter ahead. Because of the help in the plight of these mares from several well established
and credible horse rescue organizations from around the country, we have two different rescue/rehab/dude ranches - both
located in Montana - who will take these deserving mares if we can get their adoption fees paid. The ranch in Montana
will provide the long-term care and training once the mares arrive. Aspen Valley Horse Rescue has raised
$18,500 so far which covers the adoption fees of 32 of the mares, but we are still working hard to raise the final $19,750
to save the remaining 28 horses. If given this second chance at life, these mares will be given a good foundation, started
under-saddle and then used as trail horses on the dude ranch during the summer months. To make a donation to this specific

100% of all donations between now and November 30th will go towards the adoption fees of these particular
horses!
